Acropsopilionoidae Roewer, 1923 is a little diverse superfamily of Dyspnoi with two families, the circum-Antartic Acropsopilionidae and the fossil †Halithersidae.
Systematics[]
- Acropsopilionidae was originally[1] in Dyspnoi.
- Later transferred to Eupnoi under the synonymy of Caddidae by Shear (1974b)[2].
- Acropsopilionidae was reinstated in Dyspnoi by Groh & Giribet (2015)[3]. The authors used the superfamily to include only one family.
- The fossil †Halitherses grimaldii Giribet & Dunlop, 2005, originally described in Superfamily Troguloidea without familial assignment [4], was placed in its own family †Halithersidae by Dunlop and collaborators (2016) [5]. The family was placed in Acropsopilionoidea.
Included families[]
