Adaeinae Pocock, 1902 is a subfamily of Triaenonychidae.
Placement and composition[]
Created as family Adaeidae Pocock 1902 (in Mecostethi, Insidiatores), reformed by Roewer 1915 as a subfamily of Triaenonychidae with additional genera. This was followed by Lawrence (1931) who added other South African genera. Forster (1952) expanded the distribution to the Australasian realm, before Forster (1954) further modified the classification by downgrading to a tribe of Triaenonychinae. Here however is following Staręga 1992 who continued treatment as a subfamily of Triaenonychidae.
