Kury (2012)[1] cited Muller (1962)[2], but he overlooked two more recent updates (Schneider 1986[3]; Muster 2007[4]) which deal with the fauna of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Muller listed 12 species. Later L. hassiae entered synonymy with L. limbatum. Schneider (1986)[3] added 6 more species. Muster (2007)[4] added further 5 species and indicated that N. bimaculatum recorded by Schneider is not a misidentification of N. lugubre. He also noted the rectification of Muller's record of Platybunus bucephalus as P. pinetorum by Martens (1978)[5]. According to Muster (2007)[4]: Luxembourg is situated at the western limit of distribution of N. lugubre, in the west this species is replaced by N. bimaculatum. In the area of the Benelux both species occur locally syntopic.
There are no harvestmen species endemic from Luxembourg.
