Dicranolasma Sørensen, 1873 is the only genus in Dicranolasmatidae, with 16 species.

Abbr. logonymy

  • Dicranolasma Sørensen 1873: 516 [1]. Type-species by subsequent designation of Thorell (1876: 467): Opilio scaber Herbst, 1799.
  • Amopaum Sørensen 1873: 517 [junior subjective synonym of Dicranolasma Sørensen, 1873 by Thorell (1876a), synonymy reaffirmed by Dahl (1903: 282)]. Type-species by monotypy: Amopaum spinipalpe Sørensen, 1873.

Etymology

Dicranolasma from Greek δίς (twice, double) + κράνον (horn) + έλασμα (metal plate; flat end of a probe). Gender neuter.

Placement

Dicranolasma originally in Trogulini (then equivalent to today’s Dyspnoi). Placed in Nemastomidae Nemastomatinae (as opposed to Trogulinae) by Thorell (1876).
