Epedanidae Sørensen, 1886 is a family of Grassatores from SE Asia. Several of its species were nicknamed"excavators" by the macro photographers.
(Indomalayan, Australasian – 174 species)

There are currently four subfamilies recognized, with a further 13 genera and 77 species regarded as incertae sedis[1].
