Clarence J. Goodnight (born May 30, 1914) and his wife Marie Louise Goodnight (born August 27, 1916) were a couple of American zoologists, intensely active mainly in the 1940s. They concentrated their Opiliones studies on Mexico and Central America.
They are treated together here because, unlike the Soares couple, they always published together.

The Goodnights described a great number of northern Neotropical species of Opiliones, mainly Cosmetidae.
