- Hallan lists a species Melanopella insularis Roewer, 1931:544, but the generic name for this species in the original source is Melanopula (femoral nodules 0.2.0.0 rather than 0.4.0.0 for Melanopella). This name is confirmed in Roewer's 1955 paper.
