Mitopiella Banks, 1930 is a monotypic genus from Borneo with doubtful taxonomic assignment. The unillustrated poor description and the absence of type material make it impossible for now to associate it with any particular species.

"Banks placed this species in Phalangiidae and implied that it belonged in Oligolophinae. However, his description does not exclude placement in Sclerosomatidae-Gagrellinae with the rest of the Borneo fauna." [Crawford 1992]
