Rilaena triangularis (Herbst, 1799) is a species of Rilaena with Atlantic distribution. Restricted area from the British Isles to France, the narrower Central Europe eastern to USSR (Moscow), southeast to Romania and Bulgaria. Secondaryly (by introduction): Nearctic.

Type data[]
Opilio triangularis: types(s), (whereabouts unknown), from GERMANY, without further locality data. Martens (1978b) stated “Berlin”. Phalangium cornigerum: Type(s) (whereabouts unknown), probably FRANCE, without further locality data; “Il se trouve en Alsace, dans les forêts et sous les feuilles tombées.” (Gervais 1844). Platybunus denticornis: “In hiesiger Gegend. Er hält sich in Waldungen auf der Erde auf, gern unter feuchtem Moose, ist aber sehr selten.” [GERMANY, Bavaria, Upper Palatinate, Regensburg]. Platybunus robustus: HUNGARY, without further locality data (HNHM). Phalangium appendiculatum: type (NHMW), from [CROATIA], Dalmatia. Phalangium ornatum: holotype (NHMW), from ITALY, without further locality data.
