Eugène Simon (30 April 1848, Paris, France - 16 November 1924, Paris) was a French arachnologist, most active with Opiliones in the decades of 1880 and 1890.
Notable contributions[]
Among a great number of very small unillustrated papers, Simon published (1879) a book containing a general synopsis of the then known French Opiliones. He erected many familiar names, e.g., the suborder Cyphophthalmi, families Phalangodidae, Sclerosomatidae and Stygnidae.
